David Hoffman and Audrey Lee Lead Mediation & Negotiation Workshops for Australia’s Fair Work Commission

BLC Founder David Hoffman and BLC Senior Mediator and BLCI Executive Director Audrey Lee were invited to lead two programs for Australia’s Fair Work Commission, the nation’s workplace relations tribunal based in Melbourne. Thirty-one Members, or administrative law judges, participated in a 4-day advanced mediation workshop covering topics ranging from managing strong emotions, diversity and bias, and the psychology of mediation. David and Audrey also led a 1-day Negotiation Masterclass for leaders of Australia’s national employer associations and labor unions in furtherance of the Commission’s New Approaches program, in which the Commission provides training opportunities to equip employers and unions with interest-based bargaining skills for collective bargaining disputes.
