Counteracting Racism & Other Systemic Bias:The Head, the Heart & the Street

The virus of racism and other forms of bias pervades our society at both the personal and organizational levels – and there is no vaccine for it. This interactive workshop will provide tools for recognizing and addressing bias at both levels. We will use small group discussions and participatory exercises to learn from each other how we can move from intellectual and emotional awareness to becoming agents for change.
Workshop leader Matt Thompson, who is an Affiliate at Boston Law Collaborative, LLC, has broad experience as a trainer and organizational consultant and has held diversity positions at such companies and institutions as State Street Bank, Shawmut National Corporation, The Boston Company, Draper Laboratories, the University of Massachusetts, and the Massachusetts Institute of Technology.
