Addressing Bias and Stereotyping in Mediations

May 11 @ 12:30 pm - 2:00 pm

Free
Join us for this free virtual workshop on addressing bias and stereotypes in mediations

Using mediation scenarios, Audrey Lee will lead a discussion of when and how mediators may address bias and stereotypes in the mediation process. Is the choice to address a biased comment an individual one for the mediator or do mediators have a heightened obligation to do so in order to create a space for all involved to participate fully? When might the “intervening” mediator appear to or actually lose their neutrality vis-à-vis the mediation participants? Please bring your ideas, questions and experiences to contribute to the discussion. (Registrants will receive an email reminder with the Zoom link the day before the program – emails will go to the email address that was used to register).
